Vintage Quilt

A little while back Grandy(Grant's father) took Grant, Bella and Ollie in the Vintage Car Rally. This is something they have been sharing together, the past couple of years. I think it's a lovely tradition in the making and I hope they'll continue to enjoy it for years to come and that when they are older they'll be able to say 'remember when Grandy used to take us in the vintage car rally..' The vintage car belonged to Pop(Grant's Grandfather).

The children giggle with excitement when Grandy beeps the crazy horn. When I asked Ollie about the Rally he said his favourite thing was the afternoon tea! They have a soup stop and loads of home made cakes and slices.

My favourite thing-besides waving them goodbye as I prepare for a day of 'me time' or 'me and Lulu time' was discovering this beautiful Vintage Quilt draped over the back seat of the car.

I quickly snapped some photos and then on their return, I took it inside to snap a few more shots. I just loved all the quirky colours and fabrics. Divine. I *think* it was made by Grant's Great Aunt. Correct me if I am wrong Grammy:)

What's the outside of the car look like?!

How wonderful for the kids to experience the vintage car rally with their Grandy like that! They'll have the most lovely memories in years to come. The quilt is great too!
