A little bit of Easter making. So easy and so cute!
I used a packet of choc chips, 2 x packets of fried noodles and some little speckled eggs.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and stir in the noodles.
Spoon the mixture into patty pans to make your little nest. I stuck my finger in the middle trying to make it more 'nest like'.
Pop them in the fridge until they set.
Peel off patty pans and adorn your chocolate nest with some sweet speckled eggs.
In true Lea fashion, I decided to add some peanut butter to the mix part way through. I just added a tablespoon, popped it back in the mic and melted it through. Next time, I'll add it at the beginning:)
Happy Easter!

Op shopping adventures
On our way to Echuca last weekend, I stopped at three little op shops. G and I often laugh about how when we kids, we were never allowed to stop along the way and so I had worded him up that I would be on the look out for op shops in little country towns, that we were making 'a day of it' and that he wasn't going to be one of those dads that didn't stop if the children (or I) saw something fun on the way.
I'll be honest.. he didn't really enjoy the op shopping, he faked a coughing fit (think dusty, musty, moth ball smelling op shop) but he stopped nonetheless!
This is what came home with us...
a pretty square tablecloth, only little, maybe 1mx1m
more doilies
this pretty cloth, a few holes and stains but I have some plans for it
pillowcases, lace and some lovely wooden buttons
a pretty sheet that I've snipped into fat 1/4's for a swap.
Thanks for popping by my little blog. For more flea market finds, visit Sophie.
I hope your week ahead is a happy one!

Tree Hugger
We had a little mini break away last weekend. Imagine my surprise when we were driving past this rainbow coloured giant.
Fabulous!!! Sooo much to look at, the colours, the textures, the patterns. Sooo much to wonder about...where did these woolies come from? Who made this lovely tree hugger and what inspired them. Isn't it amazing? I also stopped at three op shops on our little trip. I'll show you my wares soon.

My Creative Space
Yesterday after I took the photo of my chair, I decided to give it a bit of a quick sanding to see what it looked like underneath. One thing led to another and I found myself sanding away for the next couple of hours. I kind of got on a roll until Miss Two did a 'number two' on the scooter. Yep you read that right!
We are toilet training at our place and Miss Two was 'helping' me sand the chair. She then decided to take off her 'undie dundies' and ride the scooter. Next thing you know...
Anyway I won't fill you in on all the gory details...I'll just show you a picture of the chair.
And Miss Lulu because I reckon she's pretty cute!
Later in the afternoon I spent some time in the kitchen dying these pretties. They'll be making their way into packs for Little Bits of Pretty soonish.

Op shopping
Last week I had a 'break' from op shopping. It was a kind of test of sorts. G caught a bit of the show 'Hoarders' recently and he's certain I am heading that way. I'm not worried though:)
Soo this week I was back thrifting and brought home a very cheery green sheet-my new favourite I think. It's in lovely condition but it's 50% cotton and 50% polyester. I thought it might make a nice quilt back. What do you think? I'm just not sure about the mix. Could I use it or not???
I also found this little piece of glass for a dollar. There is always room for another storage jar. It's looking after some favourite buttons at the moment.
And last but not least, I picked up this lovely chair at the Salvo's. A great price at $6.00!
I called in for a cuppa with my parents on the way home and my lovely dad set to work pulling off the fabric and the gazillion staples that were holding it FIRMLY in place. Thanks Pa! You're the best! or as my big girl would say, 'You Rock'!
Stay tuned for it's makeover:)
