My collection has grown. I might have too many.
Sometimes they make home on the children's beds. The boy likes to snuggle under one on the couch. They make a nice picnic blanket and a colourful cubby.
They make a lovely, snuggly quilt back as well.
I remember having lolly pink chenille on my bed when I was tiny. Maybe 4 or 5. Did you as well?

Pale yellow, furrowed and tasselled. I forgot how much i loved it. What a brilliant collection!
Why goodness you do have a collection don't you? As a kid I had a pink one.seceral months ago I picked up one at a church garage sale a pale orange one the fringe still, perfectly intact. The body of it though is sun faded in different spots. I have a friend who is awesome at tie dye and I'm trying to convince her to do an amazing tie dye job on it for me.
The answer is you can NEVER have too many chenilles! Love your colour assortment, absolutely glorious. I have about 4 and love them, just recently rescued a musk pink one with a floral pattern from council cleanup on the nature strip atop a pile of discarded furniture. The shame! mel x
My sister and I had matching pale pink ones (we shared a bedroom). I have some beautiful fancy chenilles, more like those in your last pic. If you lived closer my dear, I'd give them to you. Gorgeous as they are, they'll never grace a bed here. Maybe our beach house...when we win Lotto!
Chenille bedspreads are one thing I haven't come across while op-shopping, and not for lack of searching either. Such a lovely little colourful collection you have going. x
I have never found ONE in an oppie! I think I had a purple one when I was REALLY little - I only remember it in photos. I remember Catherine had them at her beach house on bunks, and we used to hang them to cover the lower bunk and pretend we were in Jeannie's bottle!
these are rainbow gorgeous, have you found OPShop mama its a blog where she has a collection linky and she's fab! You should go check it out! xxxx
